Us Weekly reported in January that Milo Ventimiglia has the stamp of approval from Hayden Panettiere's mother – and now he has the OK from her 13-year-old brother.
"Milo is cool, he's a pretty chill guy," Jansen Panettiere told Usmagazine.com at the Alvin and the Chipmunks DVD release party in L.A. Thursday.
Panettiere, 18, and Ventimiglia, 30, have been dating since last year.
Us had reported that Ventimiglia had a crush on his Heroes co-star since she was dating Stephen Colletti. Ventimiglia confessed it "the minute she broke up with Stephen," a source said.
A source close to the actor shrugged off their 12-year-age gap.
Said the source, "[Hayden] is really like a 30-year-old."

Hayden has been busy filming "I Love You, Beth Cooper" in Vancouver for the past few weeks. However, she is flying into Los Angeles this weekend to attend a few events.
On Saturday Hayden will be attending the Kids Choice Awards. She is presenting the award in the Favorite Female Singer category. The awards are airing on Nickelodeon at 8/7C so be sure to tune in!
Also on Saturday, Hayden is receiving The Wyler Award as part of the Genesis Awards.
Presented by The Humane Society of the United States, The 22nd Genesis Awards honors the news and entertainment media for showcasing animal protection issues.
Hayden will be honored with The Wyler Award for drawing worldwide attention to the cruelty of Japan’s whale and dolphin slaughter. The award, given to a celebrity who has made news on behalf of animals, is named after Genesis Awards founder Gretchen Wyler, the former Broadway headliner and animal activist, who died last year.

Hayden Panettiere has finally revealed the reason for her split from boyfriend of a year Stephen Colletti last September.
The Heroes actress, who is now dating co-star Milo Ventimiglia, told Seventeen magazine that being in a serious relationship was too much to deal with at the same time as her career was exploding: “I just knew I wanted to breathe. I wanted to be single at the time.”
“It just hit me like a ton of bricks - this is the time I need to be with myself.”
She added that she’s also not the easiest of girlfriends at the best of times anyway: “It takes such a secure person to be with someone like me; it takes so much confidence, it takes so much trust.”
